Laboratory Freezers
with Explosion-Proof Interior,
Re-Circulating Air Cooling and Automatic Rapid Defrosting

LABEX laboratory freezers feature a special re-circulating air cooling concept which is complient with the demanding ATEX 95 guideline. This guarantees temperature stability in a explosion proof environment.

KIRSCH laboratory freezers with explosion-proof interior and re-circulating air cooling are tested in accordance with the even more demanding guideline ATEX- II 3 G EX c ic IIB T6. Besides the absence of ignition sources and fulfillment of the safety requirements according to ATEX- II 3 G T6 for explosion-prone areas of Zone 2 the TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH now certifies the following for the interior as well:

- intrinsically safe supply of all electric components
- structual safety for all non-electrical components.
Advantages

The ATEX 95 adapted KIRSCH air flow concept: Re-circulating air-cooling by means of a cross flow blower combined with optimized ventilation plates. This concept keeps the temperature constant an reduces the natural temperature stratification.

Special features of the guideline 94/9/EC (ATEX)

  • intrinsically safe supply of all electronic components (depends on the model)
  • structural safety for all non-electrical components (depends on the model)
  • Energy restriction of the power circuits on the interior according to guideline 94/9/EC
    - Temperature sensors are protected by safety barriers
    - Re-circulating blower protected by safety power pack
  • Ground protection for the complete refrigerator interior (potential equality)
  • Freezers interior is not opened to the outside (manual removal of melt water)
  • Material combinations on the inside are non-combustible
  • Testing and approval according to guideline 94/9/EC (ATEX) by TÜV SÜD Product GmbH with certificate
  • Production facilities are inspected by an independent accredited company
  • The interior has the marking:  ex_15px II 3 G EX c ic IIB T6

There are large temperature ranges available for storing goods: from -5 to -30°C.

The housing is insulated with particulary good, environmentally-compatible pressure foam material to guarantee low energy consumption levels.

The interior is made of smooth aluminium with a transparent protective coating or of impact-resistant plastic with moulded supports.

The drawers/shelves are adjustable within a 15mm raster for refrigerators with the interior of smooth aluminium sheet. The longituduinal amd cross dividers within the drawers are individually adjustable.

Nr_5_LABO  Door
The lockable door has a plastic magnetic sealing frame that is easy to replace and Door frame heating. There is no overhang when the door is open. Door hinge on the right as standard, however this can be changed to the left.
